Our PRINCIPALS
JULIE BRYANT - JOUETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Dear Jouett Families and Friends,
My name is Julie E. Bryant and I am the Principal at Jouett Elementary School. I have been a part of the Jouett faculty for thirteen years and am blessed and honored to continue to serve the students, families, staff, and community. I know we are going to continue to lead the way in Louisa County.
I am grateful to have had many wonderful educational experiences that have contributed to my journey and passion for serving the Jouett community. I acquired my K-12 education in Henrico County in Richmond, Virginia. After graduation, I went to Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia where I grew to have a real appreciation for rural life and the joy of living and working in a close-knit community. While at Shepherd, I played Collegiate Volleyball and received my Elementary Education degree. I am a Jouett Trailblazer through and through, as all of my educational experience has been at Jouett. I have served as a Special Educator, Language Arts Teacher, Reading Resource Teacher, and most recently as the Assistant Principal. In 2018, I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. In addition to being passionate about education, I am also a wife and mother. My husband, Danny, and I have been blessed with three wonderful children, Kamden, Kenzie, and Kollins. I am abundantly grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the experiences I have as a member of the Jouett Family.
We are excited as we come together for the upcoming school year. Jouett’s leadership and staff are proud to provide innovative instruction that helps to enrich and challenge all of our students. We truly value relationships and we are excited for us to continue to grow our Jouett Family. We will continue to, “Be Legendary,” this school year and I look forward to working with our students, staff, parents, and community.

DAVID STREET - moss-nuckols ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Hello, Moss-Nuckols friends and families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am honored to serve as the new principal of Moss-Nuckols Elementary School and am looking forward to an amazing year.
This is the start of my 19th year in the field of education. I am originally from Grayson County, VA, where I graduated high school. I moved to Central Virginia to attend Longwood University and started my teaching career with a degree in Elementary Education. I then went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Reading from the University of Lynchburg and an endorsement in Gifted Education from the University of Virginia. After that, I returned to Longwood University to complete my endorsement in Educational Leadership. Over the past 18 years, I have been a classroom teacher, a gifted specialist, a reading specialist, and most recently, an assistant principal.
When I’m not at school, I am busy being a proud dance dad. I enjoy spending time with my wife, little girl, and our two pets. Family is very important to me, and I am grateful to be joining the Moss-Nuckols family.
I’m very excited to get to know everyone in the M-NES family and can’t wait to work with each and every one of you this year. I believe in communication and have an open-door policy, so please do not hesitate to contact me by email at streetdj@lcps.k12.va.us or by phone at (540) 500-1381. If there is anything that I can do to help our young foxes be successful, please let me know!
Go Foxes!

I received my B.S. in Mathematics Education from Juniata College and my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from George Mason University.
I'm originally from a small rural town in Pennsylvania but have been a resident of Louisa County for the past 18 years and am proud to call it home. My wife, Jessica, is a teacher in the county and my 3 kids, Cole, Ava, and Ty are LCPS students with Cole in 7th grade, Ava in 5th grade, and Ty in 2nd grade. When I'm not at school you may find me on a local baseball or softball field watching my kids play or coaching.
I look forward to partnering with you to provide our Patriots with a world-class education. Please don't hesitate to contact me via phone or email (cleavejj@lcps.k12.va.us) if I can be of assistance.

gary black - trevilians ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Hello Trevilians Families,
I am Mr. Black, and I am proud to be your principal here at TES! I am entering my 9th year here as principal, and I know that this year is going to be the best one yet! I look forward to working with all of our students and families throughout the 2023-24 school year.
I am entering my 29th year in education. After graduating from Grove City College in Pennsylvania, I began my teaching career as a 6th-grade teacher right here at TES! I then spent the next 11 years as a 6th-grade English and math teacher at LCMS. While I was there, I earned my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UVA and my Educational Leadership degree from VCU. I then left Louisa to begin my career as an administrator, and I have been an assistant principal and principal for the past 16 years.
Besides being an educator, I am the proud father of two girls–Margaret, who just graduated from college, and Caroline, who is pursuing a degree in nursing. I live in Goochland with my wife, who is a counselor, and our two dogs, Max and Sadie.
When I am not working at TES, I like to exercise, play sports, and watch sports. If you ever come into my office, you’ll know that I’m a big fan of sports, and some of my favorite teams are the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Georgia Bulldogs!
I look forward to getting to know all of you this year. If there is anything I can do to help you have a successful year at TES, please let me know!
